Welcome to the home page of the Glasgow Real Ale Festival (G-RAF) run by the Glasgow and West of Scotland branch of CAMRA, the Campaign for Real Ale. Due to various events being held in Glasgow in June and July, and some football tournament that was happening elsewhere, we decided to move the festival from our usual timeslot of early to mid June, and hold the festival in August. The 2026 Festival will therefore be held at The Briggait, near the River Clyde to the south of the city’s Merchant City area, from Thursday 6th to Saturday 8th August.
The beer selection is currently being finalised and the number of real ales, ciders and foreign beers, including a selection of gluten free and vegan friendly beers, is similar to the 2025 festival. Our ‘Drinks Menu‘ has a list of the beers and other drinks, so have a look to see what we’ve ordered. We are pleased to say that the ever popular Paisley Pie Co. will be returning and will be joined by Hanstein’s German Bratwurst. Beer, pies and sausages, who could wish for anything more! We have been assured that there will be vegetarian options available. At the moment we are also trying to finalise a pizza offering to provide even more choice.
Our charity partner this year is once again the Prince & Princess of Wales Hospice, details of which can be found by selecting the ‘Festival Charity‘ link on the menu. If you wish to support the charity then this year we have a festival Just Giving page where you are able to make a donation.
The festival is a ticketed event and you can either buy an advance ticket, a perfect gift for the beer lover in your life, or you can simply turn up and pay at the door.
